For nearly seven months,
she symbolized both ancient strength and the modern Armenian spirit.
For nearly seven months, she stood not only as a symbol of Armenia’s ancient spirituality and strength but also as a bridge to the modern Armenian soul.
On September, 2024, the bronze head and hand of the goddess Anahit returned to Armenia after centuries abroad, taking their place in the History Museum of Armenia as the centerpiece of the exhibition Mother Goddess: From Anahit to Mary.

What inspired me most was the combination of narratives — the image of the goddess Anahit set against the architectural details of central Yerevan, where the Armenian heritage is deeply felt.

And ultimately, for me, photography is about capturing a fleeting moment in time. This project became just that: an attempt to pause time — if only for a moment — to say goodbye.

More than anything, it's about movement — the movement of the modern woman. Her bold stride, the click of her heels, the graceful strength of her back — the most powerful and seductive part of her silhouette.

It’s something almost intangible, yet unforgettable. You turn your head. You watch her walk away. You remember her.

As the author of the project, it was important for me to create an elegant, powerful and resilient Anahit, who walks through Yerevan not as a relic of the past, but as a living presence, imbued with the spirit of generations.
